I took a real gamble with the tide last night. Fortunately, the ocean didn`t ruin my night, but the cloud coverage sure did. Hopefully there`s another milky way again some day.
Feels so good to take that off at the end of a long day.
Whenever someone talks about Mount Gambier, it`s always Blue Lake this, Blue Lake that. This was the first I`d heard that you can sleep in a gaol cell. Best night sleep I`ve had in a long time. 10/10 would be locked up again.

A different kind of rainbow 🌈
To the untrained eye, there isn`t a lot going on in this photo. But for an educated person, like myself, the subject matter is clear. Colombia is calling. It misses me. The hiking trails haven`t been the same since I left. Time to book a ticket and return.

In 1932, Western Australia had an “Emu War” because farmers were getting overwhelmed by thousands of emus ruining their crops. The military got involved, armed with machine guns. The emus won.

I`ve travelled all over Australia trying to get a good photo of one of these little badies. Ended up capturing this just around the corner at @marion_holiday_park. What are the chances they also have some lions or tigers roaming around there? Would save me a lot of travel costs.
