Family Photos with the Dog in Adelaide Parklands
The dog came along for this family session in the Adelaide parklands. We made use of the paths, fallen logs and open grass, with family portraits, a walk together and a few running photos along the way.
I photograph families around Adelaide, pets included.
Everyone in the photo
I photographed the whole family together, then couples, siblings and individual portraits. The dog was part of the seated groups and walking photos too.
Out in the parklands
There were gum trees, logs to sit on and paths to wander along. We moved between those spots, with late-day light through the park and plenty of space for the more playful photos.
Portraits, then a bit of movement
I mixed standing and seated group portraits with walking, running and the moments between. That left room for the dog as well as the different family combinations.

No. Dogs move, look away and get distracted. Tell me anything that helps yours settle, and we'll allow room for a walk and some less organised photos as well as the family groups.
This session included family groups, couples, siblings, individual portraits and photos walking and running with the dog. Send me any combinations you really want so we can make time for them.
A park gives us places to walk, sit and let the dog move around. We can use the paths and grass for more active photos, then stop for the family groups. We'll check that the location suits your dog and everyone coming.
Send the number of people, whether the dog is coming, the preferred location and any must-have family combinations. Also mention anything that affects the pet's comfort or the group's mobility. That lets the session begin with the important portraits and leave enough flexibility for natural movement.
Yes. I included family groups as well as walking, laughing and playing with the dog. Let me know which portraits you'd like for prints, and we can fit those in alongside the more casual photos.
I'll give you direction for the family groups, then we can move around and include walking or playing. You don't need to hold one pose for the whole session, and neither does the dog.
