An intergalactic disco at Marino Community Hall: metallic outfits, inflatable aliens and plenty happening on the dance floor. I photographed this 18th birthday and made a short highlight video, with candid moments and a few family photos along the way.
Photographs and a short film
The booking covered two and a half hours, including arrivals, dancing and happy birthday on stage. I moved between the party, quick family groups and short video clips.
A hall full of aliens
The intergalactic theme ran through the costumes, colourful balloons, disco lights and decorated photo backdrop. There was enough silver fabric to make the room feel properly committed to the bit.
A little movement as well
The photographs covered family groups, costumes and reactions. The highlight video brought in the dancing and movement around the room.
