How to photograph a large family in unpredictable weather
The brief was straightforward: capture group photos , candid moments , and the feeling of the day . No staged smiles. No fake lighting. Just a natural, relaxed approach to photographing three generations spending time together. Cloud cover meant the lighting stayed consistent—soft and even across the board. The outdoor deck overlooking the city became the go-to spot for group portraits. Inside, ambient light from the home’s large windows kept things looking warm and natural, with some subtle fill light added when needed.
