The brief: what this project needed to show
This Is Why I Love Shooting Real Family EventsThere was no formal plan. No ‘stand here, smile there’ shots. Just a group of family and friends hanging out, kids running wild, and golden hour kicking in at the right time. I worked in close, stayed out of the way, and let the moments unfold. It’s the same approach I’ve taken with other family sessions — like the candid family shoot at Morialta or that wild 13th birthday adventure where we spent the day capturing natural moments in between bursts of chaos. That’s what real family celebration photography should be — laid-back, personal, and genuine.
Event pages need to show the people, the atmosphere, the formal moments and the practical reason the coverage mattered after the day was over.
